Governance
The votes are counted and the results are in! This week two important government proposals concluded.
BIP-53
This proposal was to decide how to proceed regarding the recent Balancer/Beethoven X exploit. After an overwhelming majority, it was decided there would be no further actions taken and no reimbursements given.

BIP-52
BIP-52 serves to increase BEETS liquidity on Optimism and seed the new bridged version of BEETS, while also allowing accelerated acquisition of veBAL & vlAURA by Beethoven X DAO Treasury.
The proposals passed with an almost unanimous decision and will see $80k of BEETS and $20k of rETH of POL used to seed a BEETS/rETH 80/20 pool on Beethoven X Optimism.

Gauge Vote
May the force BEET with you!
Another wave of the bi-weekly Gauge Vote has been completed and the votes are in. This round, over 2000 Fantom Layer of the Opera BPTs were offered as BEETS bounties.

Balancer governance
In accordance with the passing of BIP-445, Balancer governance voters (veBAL) decided to conduct a phase of research to determine an active list of wallets for users reporting losses in connection to the recent exploit.
The goal of this research is to gain insight into the nature of said losses and provide context/insight to define the next steps toward restitution. To facilitate this process, a dedicated Claim Submission Tool has been created, which is linked below.
To ensure a fair and efficient process for all users impacted by this incident timely/accurate claim submissions are essential to take further action regarding compensation. Claims will be accepted for a 60-day time period and will close on 25.12.23.
Please note: This announcement pertains to all Balancer chains including Optimism which is a joint Balancer & Beethoven X deployment. It does not however cover Fantom which is solely governed by Beethoven X voting.
