Welcome back to not just another beautiful week but a brand spanking New Year!

2023 has officially hit the stage and we are super excited to welcome in a new year. We still can’t quite believe it is here and we are looking forward eagerly to all of the opportunities it may bring.
The year just past has been an incredible journey and we have all grown so much. Trials and tribulations are all part of the process and we have become stronger, wiser and more skillful as a result.
The Team have all enjoyed the festivities thoroughly and are eager to get MUSIC pumping once again.
2023 is packed full of promise and we have a bunch of goodness stacked in the pipeline.

Tech
How much tech could a tech dev dev if a tech dev could dev tech?
The answer to that little tongue twister is a mystery only the highly gifted among us know.
Pushing the boundaries of what’s possible the BEETS devs have been flexin’ those mind muscles. Juiced up on BeetleJuice, things are starting to get a little out of control and we like it. The symphonies are blaring and the creativity is reaching a whole new level. 2023 is the year and we can feel in our bones!
The Fantom Boosted Revolution has been underway for some time now. It’s been brewing and it’s almost time for a full scale assault. Reblancer contracts, new factory pools and subgraph updates have all been made and we are targeting a launch for the end of January.
It’s about to go down, BEETHOVEN style.
Meanwhile in Reliquary town the holy relics have all been collected and are being polished for the big reveal. The UI is currently under construction and major progress has been made — it’s only a matter of time now. Like Boosted Pools the targeted launch date is for the end of January / beginning of February.

Marketing
As we step into the new year at Beethoven X, we think it’s important to reflect on the year just passed — what went well, what went wrong and what can we do to improve?
From a marketing perspective we are constantly striving to provide more value to our users and we know that this year is gonna be a big one for us.
From education to strategy, we have been putting in the work to make sure that we are in the best spot possible for growth and evolution.
Over the coming quarter be on the lookout for brand new DOCS, The unBEETables, Reliquary, BEETS TV, Boosted Pools on FTM and more.
Things are already stacking up quickly and we’re excited to let the Music unfold.

Finance — Protocol Fee Distribution
2022 has come and gone. Sticking to our monthly musical beet, we bring you the Protocol Fees for December!
Here is the breakdown:
At the time of collection, fees totalled $25k. The activity split was $15k (60%) on Fantom and 10k (40%) from Optimism. This brings our total fee fees for the year to $1.63m.
The $25k was deployed today in the following way:
- Held on Optimism: $5.1k held for liquidity mining incentives.
- Treasury: $5k was added to Steady Beets, Boosted (Optimism), $5.4k was added to Here comes the Sonne (Optimism) and $3.5k will be used to acquire a combination of veBAL, vlAura and aurBAL
- fBEETs voting incentives: $6k (154k BEETs) will be distributed as gauge bounties taking place in January. As part of this allocation, a total of 128k BEETs ($5k) was bought off the open market.
Please note, not included in the numbers above is the Balancer portion ($10k) of the Optimism fees. They have elected to make that full amount available for Optimism liquidity mining incentives, increasing the total available for that initiative to $15.3k.
