A Ludwigs Guide to Gitcoin Voting

We need your help! In a first-of-its-kind Gitcoin Voting Round, the Fantom Foundation is distributing Ecosystem Vault funds to eligible dApps.

Confused about where to start? Don’t worry, we’re about to run you through the entire process.
Top Tip: Use your most active wallet! A number of the Gitcoin Passport stamps assess wallet activity. Using a well-used wallet will give you a massive head start.
Step-by-step
First up, you need a Gitcoin Passport, so head to the following link: https://passport.gitcoin.co/#/
After navigating to the website hit the ‘Sign-in with Ethereum’ button and sign the request to log in.
Read the welcome pages for a quick rundown on the Gitcoin Passport.
Continuing on, Gitcoin will now check whether you are eligible for any stamps already.
If you are eligible you will now be asked to confirm them by signing another transaction. If you haven't got any yet, don’t worry!
You will now arrive at the passport dashboard. In this section, you can see all the available stamps and by clicking the connect/verify button under each, you can see the required criteria.
Most stamps offer varying degrees of completion with each stage granting more points. For a full points breakdown click here.
In order for your vote to count you MUST obtain a score of at least 17 (as seen in the top right corner of your page).
Top tips for some easy points:
- Civic — Complete the Captcha Pass for an easy point, at the cost of a single transaction.
- ZkSync — Complete a transaction on ZkSync Lite and ZkSync Era for a total of 0.8 points (Be advised an Eth Mainnet transaction is required to send funds to ZkSync Lite)
- Snapshot — Have your say on your favorite protocols! Vote on any two proposals and you can pick up 1.41 points.
Once you’ve hit that magic number it’s time to submit your vote! Head on over to the Beethoven X Gitcoin page here:
Ensure you have some GcV tokens. In the coming weeks we will be distributing these to Beethoven X users. So far, we have already distributed 100 to all maBEETS holders. If you haven't received any and would like to vote reach out to one of the team on Discord and we’ll hook you up!
Once you’re ready, hit the ‘Add to Cart’ button.
From here, navigate to your cart and add 100 GcV tokens to Beethoven X then hit submit!
Once you’ve completed the transaction on your wallet you’re all done!
